The 10,000th Book

November 1, 2010

Last week we hit a major milestone, the 10,000th Court’s Kids book was distributed to our friends at Klamath Falls Early Childhood Intervention. They were our first school, our pilot program and where Courtney used to work. The staff there is wonderful and have shared many great stories with me about how Courtney touched their lives and added so much to their program.

She was a huge fan of Halloween so it came as no surprise to me when the K-Falls staff told me how Courtney took it upon herself to dress up the Big Bird statue they had in their entry way during the Halloween holiday time. Complete with a hate and cape, Bird Bird was all decked out every year for Halloween, joining in the fun of the holiday. This year that same Big Bird held our 10,000th book. Perfectly, the staff selected a Berenstein Bears book for the 10,000th, Courtney’s favorite kids books.

Happy Halloween, Court. And Happy 10,000th Book, Court’s Kids.

Little by Little,

Kiki
